I mean come on.. Gyoza are chinese, tempura is Portuguese, and raw fish came from China (google these things).

Re the spicy tuna...I asked the staff re the capsicum and they laughed when they thought thats the "spiceness". They said they put the red caps as a way of identifying that with normal tuna, so you dont get the wrong one. Im an aussie and agree its not hot enough for me but my other aussie friends say its to spicy! Just ask for more chilli on the side ..thats what I do.

Music is loud at times (my boyfriend hates it loud) but I personally like that buzz and the music is pretty cool.

Come on its a small lunch place doing things abit different, very fresh for 9-10 bucks..gotta like them for that. At least its not the standard frozen crap served by many japanese cafes.

As for the wacka (Melb poolachi?) complaining re a a dusty floor ..errr... its a floor ..not a operating theatre!!!
And his comment about them having no knowlege about food? I guess all the home made cakes, home made sauces, good mix of Japan food with the odd italian touch has certainly stooged the crowds, The Age, Timeout, Broadsheet and 1000 UrbanSpoon reviewers really well!!

Your blogs a good though, but yr PPeanuts one is a bit tough i think. Last night I was dining with friends and one of my pals made an off handed comment about the secret ingredient of the Laksa being "MSG". Probably because I had it at Rockpool Bar & Grill in Sydney cooked to perfection three days prior to my Vue de Monde visit, I was just anxious to try different things, including the fabled wallaby which I seemingly missed out on as Cory Campbell was serving it up a few months ago according to Flinders Island Meats.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08987765374721127127noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9078020683751602967.post-7532286084764677152013-02-13T18:39:00.998+11:002013-02-13T18:39:00.998+11:00Great review! Combined with the fact that the majority of the laksa that I have had in the past have been at smaller venues that were not as interested in providing a friendly and hospitable experience like Laksa King, my writing style on this review was a bit skewed however going in with low expectations and being impressed is certainly better than the opposite.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08987765374721127127noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9078020683751602967.post-38112922439430501582013-02-01T01:10:19.887+11:002013-02-01T01:10:19.887+11:00Haven't tried the Aylesbury lunch menu, but ca...Haven't tried the Aylesbury lunch menu, but can definitely attest for their menu downstairs.
